Biography

Dr. Ciara Crighton is a Consultant Psychologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-informed psychological care to adolescents (12 years and older) and adults. Her clinical experience spans outpatient community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, and intensive outpatient settings, culminating in her predoctoral internship at The Menninger Clinic in Houston, Texas.

As a proud Caymanian, Dr. Crighton understands the importance of connection and community. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Her approach integrates relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspectives, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. She believes in tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique experiences, goals, and strengths, helping patients navigate life’s challenges while fostering resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Dr. Crighton remains committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of psychological care. Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Crighton enjoys spending time with her dog, Gatsby, cooking, Pilates, reading, exploring new restaurants, travelling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She believes that maintaining balance and making time for the activities that bring joy helps people show up more fully in every aspect of life.
