Dr. Pooja Monteiro is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with more than eleven years of experience. Dr. Monteiro completed her MBBS from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India. She received her DNB (Obstetrics & Gynecology) awarded by the National Board of Examinations in New Delhi India. She was awarded a Diploma in Family Planning awarded by the College of Physicians & Surgeons in Mumbai, India. She was awarded the MRCOG-I by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Monteiro also pioneered cervical cancer screening using VIA/VILI at the Central Railway Hospital. This is now standard of care in low resource settings.

Dr. Monteiro has vast experience in high risk obstetrics, Laparoscopic and robotic (minimally invasive) surgeries, cosmetic vaginoplasties. She has also performed numerous Cesarean Deliveries, Abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomies, fibroid removal surgeries, Ovarian Cystectomies, Tubal Ligations, Hysteroscopies.

Her areas of interest mainly focus on menopause, adolescent gynecology, gynecological endocrinology, cancer screening and prevention.
